Le triomphe de Silène

The animal on which Silène is carried, because drunk, is a donkey and not a goat, as i wrote in my previous post, and Le petit Lux was closed for vacation and i didn’t like that, but i still felt the same connection with my favorite spot at the jardin du Luxembourg, just beside our lovely and flourishing trees.

I still had my salmon sandwich, from chez Paul and it was not so tasty as the one from le petit Lux, there was only the smell of salmon, not true salmon inside and instead of the usual Paris-Brest, i had an almond croissant, bought in a patisserie near the Shakespeare book shop, in Notre Dame area, which was absolutely delicious.

Luckily it was a beautiful sunny day and i could stay there for a good while, under its shade, to breathe the beauty of the whole place and its Spirit.

It was just so good to go back to Paris and jardin du Luxembourg after few years, love it very much !

Have a great one !

Best lunch in Paris

What would you say to have a delightful lunch in Paris for more or less ten euro ?

Ok i am not telling you how to go to have lunch in one of the best Parisian restaurants for that sum, but my suggestion is different :

Surely Paris is plenty of unbelievable charming places and among them i would put, without doubt, the jardin du Luxembourg, absolutely wonderful, now listen please :

Let’s say it is a sunny day, you decide to go sightseeing place Saint Michel, rue des Arts, Odeon, Saint Sulpice and around midday, lunch hour, you will be in the jardin du Luxembourg area, for a light but exquisite lunch.

Ok, you go to rue Vaugirard, exactly at number 29, at the petit Lux restaurant but also take away and in my honor you buy a salmon sandwich and a Paris-Brest or what you fancy, they propose many options of delicious sandwiches and pastries and of course what you’d like for drink.

Take your take away little bags, with the delicacies inside and go to sit in jardin du Luxembourg, i have my favorite spot there just behind the statue with the goat, if i remember well, i know very well my favorite spot but i don’t remember exactly the animal depicted in the statue.

Look, i am confident, it will be an absolutely delightful experience, delicious food in an enchanting frame, you have just to enjoy and if you would also let me know, in case you do it, i would really love to hear your opinion.

Thank you 🙂

Favorite Italian wine

Amarone della Valpolicella is surely one of my favorite Italian wines and honestly this one was very good and it was also not one of the most expensive Amarone out there. I paid it about 20 euro, which in general for an Amarone is quite cheap, but very good.

I had it with some gnocchi with a pistachio pesto, buffalo mozzarella bocconcini, Saint Daniele ham and some 24 months old parmigiano reggiano cheese.

I feel to suggest it and of course, in case you try it, i would always love to also have your feedback, cheers !

A very particular park/garden

Hello everyone, in case you go to visit Barcelona, you should also go to see Montjuic, an absolutely beautiful green area, with many interesting places to see, for example the Olimpic stadium and the area above Spain’s square. I would also suggest you to go to see this park/garden ” jardins de Mossèn Costa y Llobera, i love it.

Have a look to the photos so you may have an idea, for me it is very particular and interesting.

As always i would love to have your feedback in case you go there, following my suggestion 🙂

Meanwhile have a great continuation and an enchanting Life.

On the road, to Teide park !

With this post i just want to confirm what you can read in every blog about what to do in case you go to visit Tenerife.

One of the things i liked the most, in my recent short trip to the Canarian island, was the tour at the Teide park. The landscapes are really unusual and very fascinating, not expect vegetation, it is a quite arid land, seen that it is a volcanic area but, as i said, very interesting, uncommon and charming . Then, one of the most beautiful thing that you can have while there, it is very deep silence, which is quite wonderful, the deepest silence, quitness, peacefulness !

Definitely a place to go.

We had booked the cableway but at the last moment it was cancelled because of windy meteorological conditions, so we went by car until we could go, that it is not closer to the mountain’s top, rather on a lower area but it was still a great experience. Hopefully, next time i’ll go there, i go also to the highest point one can reach by the cableway. Probably it won’t happen soon, because in case i go again there, i would like to go visit also the other Canarian islands, but we can never know.

There are so many wonderful places where i would love to go !

To the next post guys, meanwhile wish you a beautiful and fullest Life !

Bye 🙂

New suggestions

Hi everyone, today i am going to suggest three absolutely charming streets, surely at least for myself, where i love to go, whenever i am in those cities. I feel in them an atmosphere, a beauty, some particular characters which enchant me and i found them very interesting. For me, they have something particular, mainly made up by the shops, bars, restaurants one can find there, by their architecture, their surrounding boroughs and the particular spirit that i perceive strolling by.

Surely i have many more, but today i am going to choose these ones :

Charlotte street, London; via Margutta, Rome; rue Montorgueil, Paris, written in this sequence but not as classification, i equal love them !

Have you ever been there ? Have you ever thought that they have something particular and interesting ? Do you have any favorite street, surely not the most touristic ones, which you would definitely suggest ?

I would love to have your opinion about my proposals and to know your loved choices !

Come on, wish you a great day !

Immersed in the Beauty !

Beauty is everywhere and it is subjective. If i am not wrong, a famous writer said : ” Beauty is in the eyes of the person who looks at something “. Today i am going to tell about one of my experiences in this sense, hoping to receive a message from you, telling me of something similar that happened to you, in one or more places where you’ve been.

I understand that this is not exactly the right moment to talk about travels but it is also my way to wish that soon we can do it again without too much hassles, one of the best thing in life, which for me is traveling.

I suppose that for anyone, walking through Paris, it can be very easy to find him/herself surrounded by Beauty, at least for me it is so and today i am going to make a suggestion, really hoping that one day i will receive a message from someone who tells me if he/she did it and what they think.

If you go to visit ” La ville lumière ” surely you’ll go to see Notre-Dame, so when you are there, go alongside, passing by Pope John Paul 2nd statue and the delightful trees and go on the back of the Cathedral, there, facing the back of the Cathedral, on the right, there is a bridge, called Pont Saint Louis, which joins Île de la Cité with Île Saint Louis, normally there are always great street artists performing, so most probably you will have also some wonderful songs or music in the experience. Ok stop there and start to turn around on yourself, 360 degrees, slowly, wherever you look you will see Beauty !

As all the interesting tells there is a but, in this case it is the weather and a much bigger problem. To fully appreciate the experience it should be done with nice weather and the fact that the roof, sorry if a i don’t use the exact word, but i don’t know how to call it in English, the Cathedral’s roof, which was absolutely gorgeous, wonderful, has burned down lately and since then i haven’t been to Paris to see how it is now, but surely Les Français will make it amazing again, even though it will never be the same !

In general, when sometimes i did it, i had the feelings that i was assisting to an astonishing spectacle.

From there you might also go, easily because pretty close, to have one of the best ice-cream in Paris, at the maison Berthillon, trust me please, impossible to not appreciate.

Please let me know, whenever it will come to your mind, if you have or find a place where you feel as i said, i hope you understood what i meant. I haven’t had the fortune to travel the whole world, but i will go visit other fascinating cities and i would love to try your suggestions.

Thank you, let’s keep in touch !
